But in the West you have another kind of poverty, spiritual poverty. This is far worse. People do not believe in God, do not pray. People do not care for each other. You have the poverty of people who are dissatisfied with what they have, who do not know how to suffer, who give in to despair. This poverty of heart is often more difficulty to relieve and to defeat. In the West you have many more broken homes, neglected children, and divorce on a huge scale.
Some turn to substance abuse to cope, a form of spiritual suicide and others just kill simply kill them self's
Most main stream religious groups deem substance abuse as a sin. The Great One refers to it as an infirmity and in most cases its not a sin.
Suicide is not a sin either however he would rather you not and would prefer you to you reach out to him so he can help.
