A race of humanoid aliens figured out immortality in the flesh except they could not renew the bone marrow stem cells that produced red blood cells. red blood cells die at around 120 days and red blood cells are the only cells in the human body that has no nucleolus or DNA thats why they can not replicate on their own. Their bone marrow would eventually die of old age and they would eventually die when there bone marrow stopped producing red blood cells unless they could find a doner to transfuse their blood. These parasites came to earth to harvest blood from humans. Yes they required RH negative blood so they either mated with some of us or genetically modified some of us as they needed a supply of humans to be RH negative. This is what spawned mythologies Vampire tales. Immortal being s that required a supply of fresh human blood. They did not drink the blood they just stole their victims blood to transfuse later they are gone now God had it in for them that's why to their horror and disbelief holy water and crucifixes made them violently ill (They too were atheists) God killed them all they are no longer with us
